Paul Paterson - General Manager
A highly experienced Golf Club General Manager with extensive knowledge of the Golf Club Industry, with over 15 years experience in this field. Paul demonstrates a modern approach to business practices with a focus on strategic planning, leadership, customer service and business development. Paul is a qualified golf professional and has been a member of the UK PGA since 1992 and has worked as a management golf professional at a number of international venues in Scotland and in Dubai. Since coming to Australia in 1999, Paul has been the General Manager of Clare Golf Club in Adelaide and more recently the General Manager of Eastlake Golf Club in Sydney. Paul took the role of General Manager here at Oatlands in 2007 where his management skills and vast experience in the industry will take the Club to the next era. Paul is also a Director on the Board of the State Golf Manager's Association.
Colin Kinghan - Golf Course Superintendent
Colin Kinghan came to Oatlands Golf Club from an agricultural background in which he held a Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Agriculture (including agronomy). Colin made the career change in 1990 when he joined the course maintenance team at Oatlands as a groundsman. As part of Colin's continuing education he completed the Associate Diploma in Turf Management in 2004, with the aim of developing into a management role. This was realised in 1996 when Colin was appointed to the Assistant Superintendent position. In 2005 Colin was finally promoted to the role of Superintendent and since that point in time has developed the course into one of the finest courses in Sydney. Oatlands has become the venue for the LG/Bing Lee NSW Women's Open and the NSW Amateur Championships which is testament to the improvements that Colin has made to the course presentation.
Adrian Boyd - Operations Manager
Adrian has been in the golf and hospitality industry for over 10 years where he has gained invaluable experience in a wide range of customer services. He has a passion for food and wine, gained mainly through his experience in fine dining at the Stamford Plaza in Double Bay. However, his true skills lie in golf club management, where he has previously held the roles of Trainee Manager at Chatswood Golf Club and Bar Manager at Pymble Golf Club. Adrian was employed in his current position as Operations Manager here at Oatlands in 2006, where he utilises his Diploma in Business and Hospitality Management together with his single figure handicap golf skills, to ensure all members and guests of the Club have a first rate experience whether they are golfing, dining or part of a corporate group.
Jeanne Iro - Catering Manager
Jeanne moved to Australia from her Singapore homeland in 1974 and gained a social work degree. In 1995 she formed Amadeus Catering and took over the Encore Restaurant at the Riverside Theatre. In 2004 she took over the catering contract here at Oatlands and works with Club management to provide our members and clients with Gold Award winning catering services. In 2005 Jeanne was runner up in the Sydney Business Review Business Women of the Year for consistently delivering excellence in cuisine and customer service.
Dulip De Silva - Head Chef
Dulip De Silva graduated from the Ceylon Hotel School, Sri Lanka in 1974. He obtained his Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Operations and commenced working as a Chef in various hotels in Sri Lanka. In 1979 he migrated to Sweden where he held positions in Eurest and Sodexho; two world renowned catering companies. In 2000, Dulip started his own Restaurant with 16 staff working for him. Dulip joined the team at Oatlands in 2005 as Head Chef where he manages staffing resources, cost control and the day to day management of the kitchen operations.
Lyn Odisho - Bar Manager
Lyn has been with the Club since 1985 when she started as a Bar Attendant. During that period she has been promoted on two occasions and is now in the role of Bar Manager. As well as being the longest serving staff member at the Club she would also be the most loved by the members, for her invaluable ability to provide the best possible service to the members and at the same time ensuring that the bar runs profitably. Lyn is also held in extremely high regard by all the staff at the Club, in particular her team at the Bar. Oatlands would not be the same without Lyn.
Tia Johnstone - Administration Assistant
Tia is the newest staff member to join the team at Oatlands Golf Club. She brings with her 4 years of administration experience, which includes 12 months in hospitality / administration at the Alice Springs Golf Club and 12 months as a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director at My Budget in Adelaide. Tia is embracing her position of Administration Assistant while learning the many and varied tasks. Tia's role at the Club is diverse and includes the responsibility for the administration of memberships, general administration duties as well as acting as personal assistant to the General Manager and Operations Manager. Tia has a welcoming smile and enjoys meeting and greeting Club members and is always available to help with any enquiries.
Andrew Ellis - Financial Controller
Andrew joined the team in late 2007 and brings over 15 years of accounting experience, including 5 years as Financial Controller for Prime Pumps and 5 years as Company Accountant at Halley International. Andrew is responsible for the financial management of the Club and reports directly to the General Manager. |
